our vision

Upon sending Adam and Hawwa (Eve) to the Earth, Allah advises them:

فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًۭى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
“When, most certainly, will come to you Guidance from Me; then whoever pursues My Guidance shall have [no cause] for anxiety, not grief.” 2:38
“O People, there has arrived a persuasion from your Master, and it is healing for that which is in the hearts and as well as mercy for the believers.” 10:57

our Mission

We have a commitment to heal and strengthen the soul, heart, and mind through holistic practices and connection with God and to empower people of any faith or denomination with the tools they will need to practice mindfulness, self-healing and positivity.

What is ICET?

Psychotherapy is an ancient discipline practiced by scholars of all Divine Revelations. The Greek word “psyche” means “the soul”. In Islam, the totality of elements which form the “mind” are the soul, the brain, the heart, the inner nafs or self and the five senses.
Islamic history shows that Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (691 AH/1292-751-1350) developed the field of Cognitive Psychotherapy, studying automatic thoughts and reciprocal inhibition.[more..] In modern times, this field came to be known as the well-known Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT, which trains the mind to identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with positive constructive emotions and behavior. ICET combines Divine Guidance with the well-known CBT model; it guides clients to identify negative emotions in response to distressful events and then practice changing one’s outlook to experience more positive emotions and productive behavior.

ICET and ICETP help clients achieve mental and spiritual strength and behave proactively despite their life circumstances.
ICETP is also advantageous for clients simply seeking greater mindfulness, building inner strength, and discovering the influence and design of God in their lives.

[Note: ICET is therapy and includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning as found in therapeutic practices. Only a Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in ICET can practice ICET as a form of psychotherapy in both individual and group settings.
ICET-based psychoeducation can be taught and practiced by ICETP Certified Spiritual Coaches in both individual and group settings.]
