I have always been a practicing Muslim since a young age. I used to pray regularly, perform tahajjud regularly and recite the Quran in Arabic every single day continuing into until my fifties. One day my sister insisted that I listen to Ustadha Farhat’s brief tafseer of the Quran. ( See Media page) It changed my life forever! I realized that I did not know anything about Islam before!! I now realize that I was in utter darkness without the light of the Quran!
I used to feel really empty when I couldn’t evoke the same emotions as the imam during a dua especially during Ramadan. Word by word translation helped me memorize more duas and made my supplications more meaningful, more earnest. My prayers were answered about 2 years ago. Sister Farhat has a wonderful teaching style. Her use of simple easy to understand language, while explaining the tafseer, is well organized and methodical. Jazak’Allah khair Sister Farhat for doing this, taking the time and being here for us in this wonderful journey.

I grew up in a non-Islamic country and despite best efforts, was lacking in our beautiful faith’s knowledge and understanding. I knew about this class but I have to say the Zoom class due to Covid answered my prayers. It is well-organized and the format suits me perfectly. Jazakallah khair for this beautiful journey!
Sister Farhat’s Quran course in an absolute blessing for all her students! First of all it’s difficult to find a Sat class . Also having the classes in English helps those of us who are not fluent in Urdu. Having word by word translations of Quran followed by detailed Tafseer helps us both with learning Quranic Arabic and Allah’s message. Connecting the Verses of Quran with details of the timing of their revelations and Hadith makes the message so much clearer and easier to understand.
I have attended many Tafseer classes, and honestly in comparison I can say that Sister Farhat’s classes are one of THE best in terms of not just explaining the text but the entire sequence and scenario that helps us not just understand the verbiage but the essence of why the Quran is the book from Allah. It cements the book into your mind in such a beautiful way that when we read it in seclusion we can truly feel the speech of our lord.

Ustadaha Farhat's class is a weekly reprieve and an opportunity to reconnect with Allah (swt) through His words. She has a remarkable way of, not only explaining the meaning of each word and the tafseer of each verse, but also connecting the Qur'aan to our daily lives. Her classes are filled with beautiful reminders and implementable gems to encourage practical application of the Words of Allah (swt). I view these weekly classes as a form of self-care and spiritual uplift alhamdulillah!
This in depth Quranic Tafseer class has changed my life. The words of Allah SWT, the word by word translation, the Hadith, the history behind the ayat, along with Ustadha Farhat’s way of teaching it all, have turned my heart and life towards Allah SWT and The Holy Quran. I am a convert and this has been one of the most important and precious gifts from Allah SWT. Grateful for every class!
This course has been a stepping stone for me in my journey with the Quran. Alhamdullillah for this blessing. I just fell in love with the words of Allah through a very well in depth explanation by our beloved Ustadha.
